You don’t necessarily need lots of equipment to have a positive birth experience, but there are a few things that I find really useful to have available. My hire range is made up of tools I genuinely believe are helpful, the ones my clients reach for again and again.
MiA ViA Serenity Pro Birth Pool
Designed for comfort, with a large built-in seat and ample room. This is smaller than many other pools on the market, giving it a cosy feel and making it well suited to apartment living and smaller spaces.
Price includes 6 weeks rental, as well as all of the disposable components (liner, hose, tap adaptors etc)

The Birth Sling by Dr Jess Michaels
Research shows that upright positions in labor can reduce the need for interventions, shorten the overall duration of labour, and promote more efficient uterine contractions. The Birth Sling encourages mobility, eases pressure on the lower back and pelvis, and enhances your body’s ability to work with your baby’s descent.

Elle Tens Machine
Say goodbye to discomfort and hello to a more manageable birthing experience with the support of Elle TENS. This nifty little device works by blocking pain signals to the brain and triggering the release of the body's natural painkillers, endorphins. Users love the sense of control using one can bring, especially in early labour.
Price includes 6 weeks rental as well as a set of pads, and postage if required.

Rebozo
The rebozo- a traditional Mexican shawl- is one of the most versatile and effective tools for supporting physiological birth. Evidence now demonstrates what birthworkers new for generations, that their use effectively reduces birth pain by promoting pelvic relaxation and rhythmic movement. This movement can also support babies into more optimal positions when used antenatally or indeed in labour.
