Ready to invest in your experience?

I want to support people to have joyful, informed and positive perinatal experiences. I strive for my birthwork to be inclusive. In order to create multiple access points, I offer my services and care using a self-selecting sliding scale pricing system. I do so trustingly and no questions will be asked.

In summary, the essential cost reflects the true cost of my service. The community price is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little-to-no expendable income. Paying for this service may qualify as a sacrifice but it would not create hardship. The lift up offering is for those who struggle to meet basic needs and paying this much for my support would be a significant stretch. There is a gauge below which shows in more detail how to determine where on the sliding scale you may fall.

In addition to the criteria below, as a give back to the community I invite people who identify as being members of a socially minoritised group who may face additional challenges in accessing quality maternity care to choose my community or lift up packages. This includes people not racialised as white, members of the LGBTQ+ community, teenage parents, single parents, people with limited English language fluency, people who have accrued significant debt in order to self fund assisted conception treatment etc.

Please be mindful that if you buy a package at the mid or lower end of the scale when you can truthfully afford the true cost, you are limiting access to those who truly need doula support the most. When I am paid fairly, I am able to invest more time and resources to share free and lower-cost offerings.

I also offer payment plans to split up the cost of my packages. If you would like to ask friends and family to invest in your doula care, they can buy gift vouchers towards the cost of my services.

If finance is a barrier please get in touch so we can discuss your options. I am also happy to signpost you to organisations and offerings which may work for you.

I first came across the sliding scale via the wonderful Lucy Yoga. My sliding scale gauge is adapted from the work of Alexis J. Cunningfolk who I encountered via Lilli @more_swole
